Wearing a mask is a small but powerful way to help us control the spread of COVID in our community. We need to make sure that we have an ordinance to help increase compliance with this important public health initiative and keep us all safe.

Public safety is supported by mandatory masks in public spaces.

I oppose this mandate as it should be an individual decision to wear a mask or not.If businesses want to require a mask that is their right and one can choose to shop there or go somewhere that doesn't require a mask.Ive been working maskless since the beginning following the 6 ft rule/hand washing and to my knowledge haven't gotten the virus.Again it should be and individual choice not an unconstitutional government mandate. We all personally responsible for our own safety and health as it should be.

I absolutely condemn the mandating of masks. “Cases” of Covid-19 are on a rise only because of the unprecedented push for testing. At no other time would anyone get tested for a virus when they have no symptoms. The CDC has legitimately removed the banner of pandemic so stop treating it like it’s more of a pandemic. This is purely political. Stop the fear mongering nonsense. If you’re sick stay home. If you’re afraid wear a mask. We are a country that is increasing unable to take any personal responsibility and wants the government to do it for us. Stop it.

I strongly OPPOSE any mask mandate. This is an unconstitutional infringement on individual rights. It should remain a choice. Businesses can choose to require masks. There is very little evidence that masks prevent the spread of virus.

Please pass this! All sound medical advice makes it clear that wearing masks is vital to all our safety.

I oppose outdoor mandate and will refuse to wear a mask while working, driving, or exercising outside. I support indoor use in public places.

    STRONGLY oppose -
Viruses and pandemics have been around since the beginning of time. You cannot stop it. What makes this one different is the fear-mongering media and skewed numbers. People are responsible for their own health, NOT the government. If masks are mandates, then food choices and exercise might as well be mandated too, and I am positive that will not go over well. My body, my choice, right?

Requiring masks has proven to be the most effective strategy for curbing this pandemic. Milwaukeeans have refused to take the necessary precautions on their own to protect their neighbors and THOUSANDS of your constituantes are going to die as a result. They do NOT decrease oxygen whatsoever. Please save us and make a decision based on science in order to serve your constituents. Masks also must be given to low income areas free of charge; we must not use this time to further alienate an underserved area of our community. It’s time to step up and serve your constituants. Signed, a voter.

Strongly oppose. Masks are not about health and safety. The holes in all materials used for masks are so much larger then the tiny virus particle, wearing one is like using a chain link fence to keep mosquitos out of your yard.

I strongly support mandatory face coverings to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We do not want our community to become the next hot-spot like Florida.

Please please please. I will take my business, and my family somewhere else. It grosseS me out seeing people touching their masks every other minute- just a breeding ground for pathogens and it decreases oxygen within 5 min of wearing. Please No sweeping mask order, let the businesses choose to mandate masks in their establishment or not. I cannot breathe in a mask. I CANNOT BREATHE!

I strongly support a mask policy indoors and support businesses that refuse service to people not in compliance . There are plenty of options for those that wish to not wear masks (online shopping, curbside/car pickup).
