If you can handle being required to wear a shirt and shoes for service, you can handle wearing a mask. Protect the community that cannot work from home!

If a business wants to make masks mandatory at their establishment then that can be their policy. But masks have been proven to increase the stress hormone cortisol, Severely limit oxygen levels, decrease immune function and increase infections in the wearer. I see people wearing masks touching them repeatedly (they are instantly contaminated when you leave a sterile surgical room) & are now breathing in the germs on the mask for hours at a time. because the wearer thinks their “safe” they don’t wash hands (which is still more effective) Or Try to stay healthy. Masks should remain a choice!

Strongly support. Wisconsin’s number of COVID cases is surging rapidly. How do people not make the connection between our high number of cases after trying to go “back to normal” and reopening the city?

Wearing a mask is a minor inconvenience to help save those you come into contact with from getting sick. Don't act selfishly. Healthcare workers wear these for hours to keep patients safe. You can wear it for 15 minutes as you get overpriced groceries at Sendick's

This is a Personal Choice! As it is to stay home. You allowed Riots & now seem to care about us? I don't think so. This is about the election.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus particle size averages 0.125 microns (range is 0.06 to 0.14 microns) and the gold standard mask (N95) filters down to 0.3 microns.Therefore,N95 masks don’t prevent viral penetration. This is a simple scientific fact. Other surgical masks and homemade masks do the following: 1) allow free passage of viral particles in and out, 2) create a warm, moist air reservoir friends to other pathogenS. Masks actually ENCOURAGE fomite transmission because people are constantly adjusting, touching and rearranging their masks. Read the science and educate yourself.

This legislation will hurt Milwaukee business by pushing commerce outside of the city limits. I will also hurt property values. There are no metrics around begining and ending this order. No reason why to start ( death rate and hospitalisation rate decreasing) and what triggers a repeal?

A face mask should be worn at all times when in contact with other people! The cases are spreading too fast in Milwaukee and must be controlled or another stay at home policy will take place. Look at all the places closing down due to employees testing positive! And these are the one who are being honest. How many places are open with employees that have tested positive, and they have not shut down??? And I believe ALL store employees, no matter what type of store, hardware, grocery, gs station should be wearing a mask due to the daily high contact with strangers.

Wholly support, without reservation. The science is quite clear - masks reduce transmission, which in turn saves lives. In my grandfather’s day, you had to drop into Normandy to protect your fellow American - now all that’s required is you wear a mask. This isn’t a political issue and has laughably little to do with personal freedom. We face the greatest public health crisis in a century, protect lives.

Listen to science! Not politicians. Science shows that wearing a mask prevents the risk of you spreading the virus to others, as well as likely reducing your own chance of getting infected. I am not comfortable trying to support my local businesses when half of the people in the store have no mask on as my personal risk of infection is higher.

Just listen to science! Worst case is masks do nothing, and you're slightly uncomfortable. I'll take that over the guilt of infecting someone with my selfish carelessness.

I believe it is the best action to require individuals to wear masks in public to protect everyone. If it is not required, then people will continue not to wear a mask in public and put there own and more importantly other peoples health in jeopardy.

This is just another step closer to communism, or soon to be National Socialism if this plague of people scared by the media keep surrendering their rights to the government. A lot of folks thought Hitler had some good ideas too, but realized after much heartache that they should have been more careful with whom they allow into leadership. We will be exploring less communist states if this passes. And no, we will Not comply with wearing your Muzzles, mandated or not.

No masks please, this should remain a personal choice.
This is still the United States of America, right?

I support the mask mandate for the city of Milwaukee. This is a necessary step in keeping the public safe. Please vote for this proposal.

I am for personal choice, not for a mandate.

    Thank you.

Strongly oppose. The science that masks work is very limited and balanced by science that they don't work and may actually make people sicker. Cities that have had mask requirements are some of the worst affected cities. Mask mandates don't work. Thank you

Let science lead the response! This is the best tool we have to slow the spread of the virus and a simple step the public can take to make sure restaurants and businesses can stay open.

I strongly oppose any mandate to force someone to wear a a mask. At first it was stay at home, slow the spread. Now this? I will refuse to support Milwaukee businesses now and ongoing if this is put in place.
