As a small business owner, I fully support mask wearing inside public buildings. Having this mandate will help minimize the spread and ensure the safety of everyone so that we can continue to support our local business without shutting down. My business simply can’t afford another city shutdown due to carelessness. Whether people like it or not, this is a solution that will help us continue to safely operate our economy.

I am against this mandate. It is impractical at best. Should it pass, I will take my business to other nearby municipalities.

Science proves masks work. More folks will wear them if there is a mandate. We NEED this.

How disturbing to see our leaders make serious "scientific" decisions while citing zero compelling science. I and my healthy family will feel no safer seeing crowds of unhealthy people in their crooked, sweaty, germy, reused masks. The reality is that 100% of the public could comply with this atrocious mandate and it will not make our population any healthier than it is today. How can Dimitrijevic say that we won't regret this measure? Acting with zero science behind you will lead to regret every time.

Please listen to the scientists and not the uneducated mob. Masks do work and cut transmission significantly. There's evidence to support this. We need to do something as this is out of control. Those who think it's their choice - public safety is not up to you to decide. How would you feel if someone preparing your food decided it's their choice to not wash their hands after they use the bathroom?

I strongly oppose. There are health concerns related to the wearing of masks, no evidence that they work effectively against the microscopic viral contagions (only evidence against larger bacteria). The death toll from covid is declining and soon will not be able to be considered an epidemic as stated by the CDC, children and many adults will touch their faces significantly more when wearing masks. This is an infringement on rights. Masks should remain recommended as they are by the CDC and it should be the personal choice as well as a choice of a business owner.
    thank you for your time.

Before looking at attempting to take away body autonomy, tell me what the infection rate is? If you don't know, here is some help. As of 7/8 Milwaukee County has 12,728 confirmed cases over the past 4 months. According to DHS the population of the county is 954,209. To do simple math to find the math you take the cases divided by the population times 100. 12,728 / 954,209=.0133x100= 1.33%! For the state you would apply the same math. 33,154 / 5.8 million= .0057x100= .57%! The infection rate is so low there is no reason to wear a mask & no reason to shut down anything. #unmasktruth

If masks worked so well, then there should be no restrictions! We should have concerts, sporting events...etc... Masks are a choice and in the USA we have a choice. Completely against this tyranny.

We are a community and need to help others. Wearing a mask protects other people, not yourself. The burden of wearing a mask in public during the Covid 19 pandemic will make our community healthier and safer.

    Vote NO to mandatory masks.

Masks are not helping, but rather making things worse because people are breathing in their carbon dioxide, NOT SAFE.

    Vote NO!!!!!

As a business owner in Milwaukee, I fully support this. Mask use = less infections = keeping our doors open for business. If we are forced to go back to a previous Phase, we will go out of business (and so will many other businesses). Also, thank you for changing the outdoor rule to 6ft instead of 30ft! That was my only hang up on this bill and now that it's been addressed, I am 100% supportive.

A mask is a medical device. I oppose any mandated medical device or procedure. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is a guarantee of our constitution.

No no no. Masks do not protect against Corona it even says on the box. We are not sheep and will not be told what to do

Enforcement should not be the focus, it should be setting a behavioral standard. By making face coverings the law, and disseminating info on that law, you will be making a powerful statement that people should be doing this to comply with the rules to which we all submit.

There is much currently unknown about COVID-19. If we’re right that wearing masks can fight the spread of the virus, then we’re right. If we’re wrong, then mask wearing is such an incredibly small price to pay to be wrong. This is basic risk management, we have so much to gain and so little to lose. Listen to our healthcare experts and pass this ordinance. Keeping citizens safe is one of government’s most basic functions.

Do not make it mandatory. Please leave it up to the business to mandate it or not.
