It's important that we act as a community who cares about each other and wearing a face mask is one small way to protect others as well as ourselves. Mask up now so we can get back to something resembling normal a LOT sooner.

I oppose mandatory mask wearing this should be a choice. As a person with allergies and asthma I have a harder time breathing with a mask for simple activities such as walking or taking stairs. This is the country of the free and mandatory wear of a mask seems to take away the free that so many fought for.

This is nothing more than a power grab by the babies that are offended that no one wanted to listen to them the first time around. It’s embarrassing that we even have to have this conversation in the first place. We will always remember who wanted to take Away our personal choice and freedom... please do not approve this ridiculous ordinance.

I support this mandate and the 70+ business owners/managers who are asking for it. Please help our local establishments protect customers and employees.

I am for wearing face coverings but not for a government mandate nor for using taxpayer dollars to purchase and distribute them.

I fully support this revised ordinance, especially as Covid becomes more and more prevalent in the community (which it is) and as many people become more and more fearless (which they seem to be).

I have seen enough evidence from other countries that masks help control the spread. We need to do something more to get this under control.

I strongly encourage all members of the Council to vote in favor of requiring face coverings in public spaces. Widespread use of face coverings will substantially decrease everyone's overall exposure to the virus. Without an ordinance requiring usage, voluntary mask-wearing will remain low, greatly hindering the ability of children to return to school, of businesses to reopen, and generally of a return to "normal" economic activity.

I am a small business owner - I own Odd Duck & Little Duck Kitchen in Bay View - and I fully support this. This is the number one thing that both my customers and staff have asked for, and we will require them with or without an ordinance, but considering their proven ability to stop the spread, we all would feel much safer if this was a city wide policy. Please help us be safe! - Melissa Buchholz

Cloth masks are not proven to stop the transmission of virus particles and are worn incorrectly 99% of the time.
The WHO has stated that healthy people shouldn’t wear masks and that masking can increase a persons chances for developing a respiratory issue.
    Wearing masks decreases oxygen intake.

As a City of Milwaukee employee working in a public office, I fully support this. This is a small but extremely important task to ask the community for the safety of Milwaukee.

Strongly oppose. All people are ALREADY free to wear a mask. Stop pushing an agenda and allow people to decide what is best for themselves.
