The safety of our entire community depends on people wearing masks. If we can have safety belt laws to protect ourselves and cars we certainly can have a mask mandate.
Not only does our health, but our economy depends on it. As a small business owner we need to make this happen so I don't lose my business when we have to shut everything down again.

Requiring 3 year olds to wear masks? First do no harm! Face masks offer a false sense of security and an excellent breeding ground for pathogens.

I oppose making face masks mandatory. It should be a personal choice.

Other people's fear should not be allowed to dictate what happens to my body. Their fear should not take away my freedom. If you are afraid of a virus then stay home. But don't make other people suffer for your fear.

The least we can do at this point is wear a mask. With over 130,000 dead and climbing, all it takes is a look at how our country has handled this compared to others. All because some people don’t want to be slightly inconvenienced by a mask. It’s deplorable. Please take this more serious then our government has and be on the right side of history.

Other countries have shown that face coverings are absolutely necessary to get covid19 under control.

My opposition does not have to do with “wearing masks”, but rather the government choosing to mandate this. What’s the exit plan? If this is mandated, what else are we willing to mandate in the future? What other freedoms will be up for grabs?

If we’re seeking to bring the community together and actively address the crisis, government mandating is never going to be the way.

CV19 is a virus, not a bacterium. Viruses are 100x smaller, so it can easily travel through the pores of the mask if airborne. CV19 is 100 nanometers, mask is 10,000 nanometers. I personally know people who have gotten sick and wore an N95 mask or a cloth mask, it makes no difference. Deathrate is down, infected case numbers are being double/triple counted to make it seem worse than it is. OSHA, CDC & WHO all say that masks don't work and don't protect you. Please do your research, especially before mandating masks. Maybe teach people how to be healthy and keep their immune systems up first!

Unconstitutional, tyrannical void and of no force. Marxist propaganda created by evil men to enslave an uneducated people under the guise of “safety”. Free men will not comply!

No, if the city believes it needs to establish this policy please advise businesses and public places that many people have medical issues which make wearing a mask impossible. Please do no harass people who can NOT have a covering on their face.

Look at the cities that have required masks. They are doing much better than those that have not. Let's keep Milwaukee safe. Everyone needs to participate. If we don't the consequences are too great. Proactive prevention please.

We need to think of everyone and not just ourselves in this matter.

Strongly appose! The ‘experts’ supporting masks have an agenda. Anyone in the medical industry, knows masks do not prevent virus or bacteria from flowing through with ease. Masks for virus, are like a chain-linked fence to keep out mosquitoes! Absolutely makes sense. Are we willing to give up our constitutional rights, for flawed science at Best, lies at worst?! Masks ONLY pose risks to the wearer- and we are considering mandating for children with growing brains? Trapping pathogens and creating mold in masks, to ensure illness? This is madness! No. No. No.
