    Noooo mask mandates

I support a free mask program and support a mask wearing requirement. I also support making masks mandatory in a way that doesn’t disproportionately penalize marginalized groups of people.

Masks don't work. Plus, more masks being handed out like candy at a parade mean more litter on the ground. I have seen SO many disposable masks just thrown on the ground in parking lots outside of businesses. What a waste!

I support making masks mandatory in a way that doesn’t disproportionately penalize marginalized people (eg how the MPD gave out more citations to Black residents during the stay at home orders). That said, I feel masks are the only way to slow this down. Our rate is out of control.

I support a program that would provide free masks to those who need them. No one should go without a mask just because they can’t afford it or can’t find them.

No one should have to decide if they can afford a mask. If we want the entire community to help dampen the spread, we need to provide the basic tools to do that.

Not everyone has the same access to the necessary resources to obtain a quality face mask. To make mandated mask wearing equitable in the City of Milwaukee, everyone who needs a mask(s) should receive one at no charge.

Very much opposed. Unconstitutional and unnecessary.

How about a tin-foil hat, too? And a garlic necklace and a wooden spike? They'd be just as ineffective as a face mask at keeping me safe.

Quite simply the easiest and most direct way we as a city can fight the spread of this virus. Medical experts should be listened to. The horrible people who do not support this are ill-informed by their chosen sources and feel they know better than people who have studied these facts for years. Shame on anyone who doesn't wear a mask, and especially shame on anyone who decries anyone else for wearing one. Listen to the doctors and scientists, not the white women who throw temper tantrums in public.

The Health commissioner should be ashamed lying to people about the mask. If they go through with this, people will be more sick.

Reading the comments on here are scary. A mask is a false security at best. A mask does not save a life. All other precautions are superior to a mask for germs. Wash your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes. If sick stay home!

I fully support a mask mandate. The only way to truly protect ourselves and others is to wear masks whenever we leave our houses. The curve has not yet flattened so we must act as such. People claim their liberties are being taken away, when they’re really just lazy and inconvenienced. What’s more American than the self-centered and selfish people out there refusing to protect those around them and themselves by wearing a simple mask?

I know there are several willing to donate to help if the burden becomes too large on the city or on individual businesses.

Fully support! Everyone should have a mask even if they can't afford it. Poverty should not be a death sentence.

I fully support the creation of a program
to help alleviate any burden citizens face in securing a mask for themselves or their families.

A solution looking for a problem. Masks should not be required. And if not required, no need to provide.
