It is key in defeating this virus that we all may have a mask. This is a fine use of my tax dollars.

NOPE. The level of hysteria for an illness with a 99% recovery rate is beyond ridiculous. It's time to let it go and move on. Let people alone so that they can continue to build their natural immunity.

It is imperative that we make sure that everyone has access to a mask. There should not be barriers to helping our community stay safe.

This will help take the burden off of individuals. This also needs to include children 2 and older to help families if returning to school, there should be no excuse that citizens, including children can not help protect every other citizen. This is more about others than individuals.

This is so important and takes the burden off people who would wear masks but do not have the means to do so. Mask wearing SHOULD be mandatory across the board. This shouldn’t even be a question. This is a public health emergency and we ALL need to do our part to control the spread, flatten the curve, and take care of each other.

I oppose any mask mandate. I will stay away from Milwaukee until the mask mandate is lifted. Not only are the masks not effective, they give people a false sense of security and may be spreading the virus must faster than we realize. Mandating masks is also an infringement of individual liberty, and I refuse to support it. I saw a Wisconsin poll last night that showed 60% of Wisconsin citizens oppose a mask mandate.

horrible the city has plenty of other issues and this takes center stage. Our city government is a joke. Time to be leaders not dictators

Yes, absolutely, this is good and needed. If masks are widely available and normalized, more people will wear wear them.

Only issue to people who request a free mask. Not for EVERYONE.

Many free mask programs exist without government involvement. This resolution is redundant and unnecessary.

Whether or not the city will require masks, there needs to be a way for those without access or means to obtain a mask. Even if the city does not require masks (which I do support) everyone should have access.

This is a great addition to allow for all residents to keep each other safe.

I strongly support this. Science says that masks can help slow the spread of viruses. People should not have to worry about having the financial means to buy one.
