Every person deserves bodily autonomy and the right to privacy. Abortion is healthcare, and these decisions about what we do with our bodies should not be decided by the government.

The simple truth is that abortion is healthcare. Abortion is necessary, essential health care. We cannot and should not ever criminalize healthcare. Those decisions should be made between the person with a uterus and their doctors. With no interference from our government. There is no need to mince words or include qualifiers. All people who are able to get pregnant should be able to determine their reproductive destiny without question, judgment, or qualification. We are Americans. Deserving of full rights. Deserving of the opportunity to make our own life altering decisions. Without the ability to control their own reproductive destiny, no person in America is actually free. If we cannot decide when and if to get pregnant or when and if to bring a fetus to term we cannot control our financial situation, our employment situations, or make important relationship decisions.

I am a mom and my motherhood journey has made me resolute and unwavering in my dedication to abortion and reproductive Rights for all.

It Doesn't Matter When "Life" Begins, No Person Can Force You To Use Your Body to Save Their Life.
The Government cannot force you to donate blood to save another person’s life, even if they are bleeding out and die in front of you. And it doesn’t make you a murderer, punishable with years or even life in prison if you refused to donate blood to save someone’s life.
In our society, it is 100% your choice if you want to donate blood or bone marrow or even a spare organ like a kidney or lung to save someone else’s life. Your organs cannot be removed from your dead body to save another person’s life without your expressed, written permission prior to your death. As such, a dead American woman has more bodily autonomy than a living American woman.
No baby, no child can force you to donate blood, bone marrow, a kidney to save their life so how can a person force you to donate your uterus for nine months to save their life?

Wisconsin’s motto is forward. I support the effort to repeal the antiquated law banning abortion. Take us forward where’ a woman has the freedom to make difficult choices affecting her life and body. We’ve come a long way since the 1800’s in rights and freedom protecting privacy. Repeal this law and bring us forward.

Banning abortions does not stop abortions, it only makes them dangerous and unfortunately too often deadly. According to the World Health Organization, 23,000 women die from unsafe abortions each year and tens of thousands more experience significant health complications globally. A recent study estimated that banning abortion in the U.S. would lead to a 21% increase in the number of pregnancy-related deaths overall and a 33% increase among Black women, simply because staying pregnant is more dangerous than having an abortion. Reproductive decisions must be reserved for the individual and their healthcare provider, not politicians!

We must not repeal a law that protects the most vulnerable group among us: people who have not yet been born.

If this isn't repealed I will riot and burn it all down. Disgusting that corpses have more rights than women.

Let’s be honest, abortion is the murder of an innocent human being who about 50% of the time is also a woman. So why should some women have the “right” to murder other women?

I support this Resolution because lives are at stake. The Supreme Court’s decision won’t end abortion; it just ends access to safe, legal abortion. People with unwanted pregnancies may be desperate enough to seek unsafe illegal or self-induced abortions, risking harm and death. This decision is made on a narrow perception of life and its beginning. There are many beliefs as to when life begins. Regardless, a fetus isn’t a child, any more than an acorn is an oak tree. Real life is not that black or white. Abortion is not new; it’s been part of human experience since time immemorial. As a person of Christian faith, I believe life begins at breath, as illustrated in Genesis 2’s poetry. But Christianity has as many perspectives as denominations; and more religions exist than that. Basing Law on one narrow belief is exclusive, undemocratic, and authoritarian. If we truly believe in “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” making a “one-size fits all” law doesn’t honor individual agency, but becomes dictatorship. If we really value life, we’d put value on the life of the living mother; with resources to support both mother and child until it’s emancipated. Thank you.

Social justice begins in the womb. Your life began in your mother’s womb. You can thank her for not aborting you. A baby born is just as much alive as a baby in the womb. Ask anyone who has been pregnant. Look at the ultrasound. Nothing grows that isn’t alive. It’s time to legally protect the babies of WI. Our future. It’s time to SUPPORT women. Abortion traumatizes women, kills their babies, and leaves a hole in the family. At Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, there is an unmarked grave of 1,268 aborted babies. These 1,268 babies are people, who were murdered. Each of these 1,268 Milwaukee babies has a mother who has been traumatized, and a father, grandparents, and likely siblings who are left in grief. Abortion is NOT good for our communities. Let’s value life. Let’s HELP mothers. Let’s find pregnancy centers! Let’s provide free mental health, child care, and services to mothers in need! Let’s show the next generation of Wisconsinites that we ALL have value. Every race, nationality, religion, gender, “wanted” or “not” has value. If you ask a survivor of abortion, (abortionsurvivors.org) they are PRO LIFE. Every other victim of abortion is dead. Social justice begins in the womb.

It is an egregious affront to human rights that anyone's bodily autonomy could be denied. This misinformed, misguided, and misogynistic law should be repealed without question. This injustice must not stand.

Bodily autonomy is perhaps the single most important human right that exists. Our government cannot compel so much as a blood donation; forced pregnancy, which at a minimum involves major, permanent changes to the body and carries a genuine risk of serious complications, up to and including death, is absolutely unacceptable.

It is reprehensible, that in these times with readily available things such as birth control & the morning after pill that any of the people in control of the laws of any community in America think it's ok to treat abortion, the killing of an infant, as if it should be normalized & try to paint it as health care or necessary! Your souls are empty & your hearts corrupt. I wish you all infertility for your actions, for as much as I don't condone abortion as a birth control, I loathe people who think that killing babies is ok & strongly believe that those people should Not be breeding or in control of any young minds, so as not to keep perpetuating these heinous, Horribly selfish acts of murder of the most innocent. Once you create a being inside of you, it's no longer just Your body. All of the heathens who are for this cause of ensuring abortion is readily available for Everyone need to get right with their makers because it is clear with the disarray & discontent of the world today that judgement day is soon coming. This is the test of your own worth, that which decides your fate/karma/afterlife/eternal life & you are Failing to be of benefit to existence with these actions.

Most Americans believe the decision to have a child is one of the most sacred decisions there is, and that such decisions should remain between patients and their doctors. Keep abortion safe and legal in the state of Wisconsin, do NOT ban abortions!

Please ensure that the women of Wisconsin have the freedom to work with their healthcare providers to make the best choice for their bodies. The government should not strip women of their freedom by making decisions about their bodies.

Women should not be forced to use their bodies to support any life if they don't want to. Whether a person has an abortion or not is not a decision for the government to make.
