Abortion is murder, this has nothing to do with my body my choice. That baby is a whole different new human being. It has separate organs, DNA, nerves, etc.. I strongly oppose this repeal on abortion.

I fully support this. We are going backwards. This cannot stand. We deserve full access to healthcare, including abortions. Forced pregnancy is a violation of human rights within the amnesty of international law as well as the United Nations. Policies that force people to remain pregnant and give birth are unconscionable, cruel, and dangerous.

I strongly support this resolution. Forced birth is not freedom, abortion gives people the right to live full autonomous lives.

Every person has a right to privacy and bodily autonomy. This right is protected constitutionally and the law should reflect that.

Abortion is healthcare and part of our reproductive rights to choose. It's a personal choice for pregnant people and their families to decide, not the government. Forced birth is inhumane, especially when there are inadequate services available to care for a child. Birth control, sex ed, free child care, and other resources/services prevent abortions, not abortion bans. Abortion bans threaten the lives of pregnant people. I strongly support repealing WI's outdated ban on abortions.

Abortion is murder! Unborn babies have the same right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that every American enjoys! The Milwaukee Council NEEDS to uphold statute 940.04. Uphold the constitution and more importantly the law of Christ!

    You're murdering innocent human life.
Bloodshed every where. Enough is Enough.
The bible in the book of Jeremiah says " before I formed the, I knew thee." Is this acceptable to God our FATHER? The answer is No!

All Wisconsinites should be able to make decisions about their own healthcare. This antiquated law is in direct opposition to the health and safety of Wisconsin residents.

The taking of a human life in the womb is abortion. You cannot continue to ignore the science that life begins at conception. It is neither a "right" or morally defensible for this to continue. Abortion shall go down on the ash heap of history as the human rights atrocity that it is, much like slavery was. We cannot allow Milwaukee to have the blood of innocent children on it's hands by continuing the lie that someone can take the life of another. Please stand up for these children.

"Almost all higher animals start their lives from a single cell, the fertilized ovum (zygote)... The time of fertilization represents the starting point in the life history, or ontogeny, of the individual."
    [Carlson, Bruce M. Patten's Foundations of Embryology. 6th edition. New York: McGraw-Hill, 1996, p. 3]

"Embryo: An organism in the earliest stage of development; in a man, from the time of conception to the end of the second month in the uterus."
[Dox, Ida G. et al. The Harper Collins Illustrated Medical Dictionary. New York: Harper Perennial, 1993, p. 146]

"After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being...[this] is no longer a matter of taste or opinion, it is not a metaphysical contention, it is plain experimental evidence...." - Dr Jerome LeJeune, Professor of Genetics at the University of Descartes, Paris, discoverer of the chromosome pattern of Down's Syndrome, and Nobel Prize Winner, Report, Subcommittee on Separation of Powers to Senate Judiciary Committee S-158, 97th Congress, 1st Session 1981

Life unequivocally begins at conception and murdering innocent human beings is unequivocally wrong. It follows that abortion must remain illegal.

Repeal this antiquated law that was written when women were considered property of their fathers and husbands! Outlawing abortions will lead to increased maternal deaths. Forced birth is inhumane, dangerous, and cruel. People deserve bodily autonomy!

Wisconsin statute calls for the imposition of double murder on a drunk driver that kills a pregnant woman. According to your own statutes abortion is murder. I oppose this.

Civilized societies protect the most vulnerable. Helpless babies need legal protection from murder. Fear God and do the right thing. How can Milwaukee expect good things when such evil persists. Repent and look for the Goodness of the LORD.

Abortion = healthcare. And we should all have equal access to healthcare. As someone who is currently pregnant, who planned this and wanted this — this is HARD. Pregnancy is hard on the body, hard to manage a normal working lifestyle, hard on the bank account, hard on your mental state. NOBODY should have to do this if they are not prepared or have the resources/support to do so. And that should be an individual’s decision and no one else’s. There may be a heartbeat at 5/6 weeks but if the fetus can’t survive outside the womb, we shouldn’t prioritize it more than the person who is carrying it and whose life will be completely altered. Making abortion illegal does not prioritize a person who has lived many years and presumably has many years left to live. The arguments made in opposition claiming this is an issue about saving children is a farce as we do not put nearly enough funding into education, health care and children/family services. Lastly, this issue disproportionately affects Black and brown folks with reproductive organs and anti-choice laws are based in racist, antiquated white supremacist ideology.

The law was place there for a reason to protect the baby from women who want to rip there children apart. They say they trust science and when science clearly says that the baby in the womb is a baby. The left denies it and makes up excuses why they should kill there baby. Please dont get bullied into getting rid of the law and do what morally right which is to save children from being ripped apart from moms who are selfish. Abortions should never have been legal at all and shouldnt be legal.

Wisconsin needs to repeal this ancient statute. Criminalizing abortion does not end abortion, it only ends safe abortion. It is a womens choice alone whether to have a baby or not, not a lawmaker’s.

I support this resolution. Abortion is a critical aspect of healthcare for people who are pregnant, and pregnancy is a significant and undeniably dangerous medical event. No law should prevent a patient and her doctor from considering and acting on the nuance of an individual health situation and potential outcomes. All women deserve access to lifesaving healthcare, a basic human right and one that is owed to all of Wisconsin’s women, too. Many will die needlessly and their families will suffer, in addition to a likely increase in abortions in this state, because of this draconian law. There are proven ways to protect womens’ health and also decrease abortion rates, like increasing ease of access to contraceptives, and I encourage our government leaders to explore such proven and productive ways (and widely embraced by the public) to support the health needs of Wisconsin women.

You cannot determine that these unborn humans have no value or are not worthy of protecting. Unborn humans have the same rights as all humans, the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. These are separate humans, with their own dna, in their mothers womb, dependent for survival. Any act of the mother to kill these humans is murder and should be treated as such. Ask yourself, if these are not humans, what grows inside a mother? We know they are humans and deserve life.
