No thanks! We could have 100% compliance on masks for the next two years and it won't solve the real health and mental problems of this country.

Spending money on masks today saves money on healthcare and ventilators tomorrow. Strongly support.

Let’s make this as easy as possible for people to comply. A small price to pay for saving lives.

There are so many masks that Milwaukee obtained during all of this and it is barely an additional expense. It seems obvious to provide them if they help protect people’s health even a small amount.

Why would we not do everything we can to protect our residents? It's such a simple concept. The ordinance will show that our leaders care for their residents, and that we should care for each other.

Countries with a strong mask culture that provided free masks to its citizens such as Japan have seen far lower numbers of Covid-19 cases with hardly a disruption to businesses. I support normalizing mask wearing and providing masks for anyone that needs one makes this even easier.

If people don't have to pay for their own masks, the mandate may have more public backing.

I support this resolution but need to set a limit per person during a specific of time.

To those who think this is going to end.....
YOU ARE WRONG!!! Give them an inch and they WILL take a mile!
Are you people forgetting something? The flu has been around for all time.
    Give it a rest already.

This is a needless expense since mandatory masking if approved, will ultimately be overruled by the courts.

I support this policy. Everyone (with very few health exceptions and above a certain age) should be able to wear a mask. Providing free masks to the public will help alleviate disparities in who can afford a face covering and be able to protect themselves. This will help protect individuals as well as our broader community, as masks have been shown to protect both the wearer and those they come in contact with. Thank you.

Can we get some free fairy dust while we're at it? How about a tin foil hat?

This is not the responsibility of government. This kind of thing should be taken on by private citizens/entities that feel strongly about it.

Saw a box of “surgical masks” at Target in the school supply area, box clearly says they will not work for liquid barrier protection or if the infection risk of inhalation is high, what is the point? What masks would the tax payers of MKE have to pay for? The Common Council needs to make this clear and at what cost and WHERE is the $$ coming from. There are many unanswered questions with this ordinance, such as COST and END DATE and it seems that many people don’t care to have those questions answered. We elected the members of the common counsel— they serve us they need to answer to us.

MasksUNHEALTHY for wearer+do nothing to protect others from microscopic virus;MasksHARMFUL TO humans.Wearing facemask reduces blood+tissue oxygenation-can be deadly-while increasing carbon dioxide levels.Masks increase risk of infection+spread of viral illness, hinder detox via exhale, impair immune system+cause many ailments physical+emotional. Positive "spikes" from falsely inflated computer models;CDC recognizes at this date Covid virus NOT a pandemic+at this time is NOT deadly threat to over 99.9% of populations;studies now indicate asymptomatic are definitely NOT any danger to spread it
